Cuba reports a new daily record of Covid-19 with 650 cases

Havana, January 17 (RHC) On Saturday, Cuba diagnosed 650 new diagnoses of COVID-19, for a total of 18 151 confirmed since March 2020. There were also four deaths due to the disease. Doctor Francisco Durán García, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), informed about these developments on National Television.

The network of 18 molecular biology laboratories of the island studied 10,946 samples from all the provinces and the special municipality of the Isle of Youth.

The province of Guantánamo had the highest incidence rate with 206 cases.

Forty-six patients are being treated in intensive care: 11 are in critical condition and 35 in serious condition. There are five children admitted to ICUs; four are in serious condition and oneV in critical condition.
