Cuba reports 5613 new COVID-19 cases and 29 deaths

Havana, July 13 (RHC)—Cuban health authorities announced 5 613 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday and 29 fatalities associated with the disease.

As of midnight, 36 840 confirmed patients were hospitalized, the highest number of the pandemic.

The Caribbean nation now accumulates 250 527 infections diagnosed and 1608 deaths.

The high infection rate has led to the detection of 65 584 positive cases over the two weeks.

The territories with the highest number of cases were Matanzas with 1468, Havana 691, Ciego de Avila 637, and Santiago de Cuba with 415 cases.

The health intervention with the Cuban developed vaccines Soberana 02 and  Abdala continued in the national territory, and as of July 11,  7.5 million doses had been administered and 1.8 million residents had been fully vaccinated.
