Cuba reports 2,945 cases of Covid-19 and 40 deaths

Havana, October 11 (RHC)-- Cuban health authorities confirmed Monday 2,945 new positive cases of Covid-19 and 40 deaths due to complications associated with the disease.

The head of National Epidemiology, Francisco Durán, said that the country has 921,328 cases diagnosed with this coronavirus since March 11, 2020, and 7,891 fatalities.

Durán pointed out that 16,144 active cases remain hospitalized.

Pinar del Rio reported 517 cases, Camaguey 444 and Holguin 286. These were the territories with the highest number of cases over the last 24 hours.
