BioCubaFarma delegation meets with Minister of Health of Belarus, Dmitry Leonidovich Pinevich.

Minsk, June 23 (RHC)-- The BioCubaFarma delegation visiting Belarus held a meeting on Wednesday with Dmitry Leonidovich Pinevich, Minister of Health of that country.

The official expressed his admiration for the Cuban people for their achievements, particularly those related to their health system, the Cuban Business Group reported on Facebook.

The Belarusian minister also stressed that the geographical distance does not prevent a rapprochement between the nations from making mutual technology transfers a reality to avoid shortages of medicines in both countries.

For his part, Eulogio Pimentel Vázquez, vice-president of BioCubaFarma, pointed out that Belarus and Cuba are very similar in terms of population size, health indicators, population aging, and diseases such as oncological and cardiovascular diseases.

Likewise, the meeting was identified as a great opportunity for specialists from both countries to exchange in events such as the Health Convention, from October 17 to 21, and Controlling Diabetes, from August 31 to September 4.

Subsequently, BioCubaFarma and the Belpharmprom Consortium signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum of Understanding, according to BioCubaFarma information, is aimed at technological and economic cooperation in the field of the biopharmaceutical industry.
