Havana, Jul 15 (RHC) --Cuban President  Miguel Díaz-Canel spoke Friday with young Americans participating in a summer course sponsored by Casa de las Americas.

The meeting took place in Havana, and according to information from the Twitter profile of the Presidency of the Republic, they talked about socialism, Economy, Culture, blockade, and international relations.

"We are very pleased to receive you at the Palace of the Revolution and share this time with you," said Diaz-Canel, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Alpidio Alonso, and the president of Casa de las Americas, Abel Prieto.

The twenty young people who make up the group are studying at the New York-based The New School, an institution with strong ties to the island.

According to the web page of that center of high studies, this program aims to promote research-oriented experiences in which conferences and interactions with peers from different countries provide a deeper understanding of global problems.
