Cuba participates in the preparatory meeting for the universal expo Osaka 2025

First International Planning Meeting of the Universal Exposition Osaka 2025.

Tokyo, Oct 25 (RHC) The vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, Ruben Ramos, has been participating since Tuesday in the first International Planning Meeting of the Universal Exposition Osaka 2025, held in the Japanese city of the same name.

 

During the first day of sessions, held at the Osaka International Convention Center, Ramos exchanged with the secretary general of the International Exhibitions Bureau, Dimitri Kenketzer, who acknowledged Cuba's commitment to the organization and the quality of the work presented in previous meetings, reported the embassy of the Caribbean nation in Tokyo.

 

The parties also discussed the results Cuba will showcase at the Osaka expo in the areas of health, biotechnology, and environment, corresponding to the "Saving Lives" sub-theme of the mega fair.

 

Cuba is among the 142 countries that have so far confirmed their participation in the event that will take place on April 13-October 13, 2025, dedicated to "Designing the Society of the Future for Our Lives".

 

At the end of the two-day meeting in Osaka, the Cuban executive will travel to the capital to complete the rest of his work agenda in the Asian nation, which includes meetings with officials from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

Ramos will also give a seminar on "Business and Investment Opportunities in Cuba" for businessmen and representatives of Japanese institutions. (Source: PL)
