The production of the new plant will be destined for the domestic market and the tourism sector in Cuba.

Havana, Nov 14 (RHC) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz attended on Monday the inauguration of a modern Unilever-Suchel plant in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), which will manufacture personal hygiene and household products.

On his Twitter account, the head of government wrote:

With an installed capacity of 28 thousand tons per year and modern equipment, the production of the new plant will contribute to the stable supply in the domestic market, given the increase in demand, and the growth of the tourism sector in Cuba.

Unilever-Suchel S.A. is a joint venture established as a user of the ZED Mariel, a special zone located 45 kilometers west of Havana, in the western province of Artemisa (Source: ACN).
