The Emirati diplomat ends his mission in Cuba.

Havana, Nov 15 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez met Tuesday with the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bader Abdullah Almatrooshi, in a meeting in which they ratified the boost to bilateral relations.

In his Twitter profile, Rodriguez said that in the interview both parties ratified the willingness to continue developing political relations and boosting economic, trade, and cooperation ties.

The Emirati diplomat ends his mission in Cuba at a stage in which Havana and Abu Dhabi have developed several programs to expand their ties in sectors such as tourism, education, culture, and communication.

On Monday, President Miguel Diaz-Canel held a meeting with UAE Economy Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, who heads the high-level delegation from that Arab nation and attended the Havana International Fair, Fihav 2022 for the first time.

This year Cuba participated with a high-ranking government and business group in the 2020 World Expo, held in Dubai.

The Cuban pavilion at that event was visited by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

As part of the program of exchanges at that meeting, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed al Zeyoudi, talked with Cuba's Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Déborah Rivas. (Source: PL)
