Cuban Provinces Celebrate the 64th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution

Havana, Dec 25 (RHC) Several Cuban provinces celebrated the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution (January 1), in which they highlighted the people's efforts to overcome the problems caused by the U.S. blockade, and show their commitment to the country to move forward with creative resistance as called by the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel.


In the capital, the activity took place in the Fraga neighborhood, in the municipality of La Lisa, with the presence of the Vice President of the Republic, Salvador Valdés Mesa, and the highest authorities of the province of Havana.


The first secretary of the PCC, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, recalled some of the difficulties experienced during the year, such as the fatal event at the Saratoga Hotel, the passage of Hurricane Ian, and the inconveniences caused by the electricity shortage, among others.


He congratulated the people of the capital for overcoming all these problems and said that next year the fight against corruption and illegalities must continue, the role of the state enterprise must be strengthened and the levels of satisfaction of the population must be increased.


Meanwhile, Sancti Spíritus (center) held the provincial ceremony for the anniversary in the municipality of Taguasco.


In the meeting, the member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in the territory, Deivy Pérez Martín recognized the effort and results of the locals with achievements in the past and present sugar harvests and the elaboration of derivatives.


In 2022, Taguasco stood out for its results in the sugarcane and tobacco industries, among others, achieved with economic efficiency, unity, and participation of the people in the construction of Socialism.


Meanwhile, the municipality of Cacocum, in the eastern province of Holguin, starred in the ceremony for a new anniversary of the Revolution presided over by the first secretary of the PCC, Ernesto Santiesteban Velazquez, and Governor Julio Cesar Estupiñan Rodriguez.
