Havana, Feb 28 (RHC) Leaders of the communist parties of Cuba (PCC) and Vietnam (CPV) held a virtual meeting on Tuesday when they noted the excellent state of inter-party ties and the agenda planned to strengthen them.

According to the PCC, the head of the Department of International Relations of that political organization, Emilio Lozada, and his Vietnamese counterpart, Le Hoai Trung, shared opinions on the international and regional situation, in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in Southeast Asia.

Lozada told his Vietnamese counterpart about the special monitoring of the consensus reached between the First Secretary of the Communist party and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

He recalled that both countries will develop an important program of activities this year to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first visit to Vietnam by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, in September 1973.

The Vietnamese leader, who is also a member of the CPV Central Committee, reiterated the willingness to strengthen relations with the PCC and deepen economic, commercial, financial, and cooperation between the two countries.  (Source: PL)
