Havana, April 17 (RHC) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Serguei Lavrov, will visit Cuba on April 19.

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Lavrov is on a tour that will take him from the 17th to the 21st to Brazil, Venezuela, Nicaragua and the Cuba.

The objective of the tour is the promotion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, commercial, economic, educational, humanitarian, cultural and other fields. Lavrov's agenda will include meetings with the leaders of these countries and negotiations with their foreign ministers.

The Russian Foreign Ministry maintained that these meetings will focus the negotiations on strengthening the international legal foundations of the modern world, whose basic framework is the United Nations Charter.

For Russia, Latin America is a friendly region, one of the training centers of a multipolar world, with which the Eurasian nation intends to maintain a dynamic dialogue and develop constructive cooperation not subject to external dictates. (Source: Prensa Latina)
