Havana, Apr 28 (RHC) - Roberto Morales, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Cuban Communist Party’s Central Committee, closed a visit to China today in Shanghai, which included tours of important sites and the signing of agreements.

China was the first stop on the West Indian's Asian journey, which will also take Morales to Laos and Vietnam.

Morales arrived in Beijing last Sunday and started his agenda the same day. He was received on Monday by Premier Li Qiang; Cai Qui, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of China’s Communist Party; and Wang Yi, of Foreign Affairs of the Central Committee of that political organization. The three reiterated China’s willingness to maintain its support for Cuba and indicated that the country is willing to promote mutually beneficial cooperation.

On Tuesday, Morales inaugurated the fifth Theoretical Seminar between the Chinese and Cuban Communist Parties and signed two agreements with an extension of five years each and with immediate effect, to expand cooperation between these partisan organizations and also the youth organizations of both countries.

He was in Shanghai from Wednesday to April 28. His current tour will be another opportunity to raise political dialogue to the highest level and contribute to the continuous development of economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations. (Source: Prensa Latina)
