Cuban Prime Minister highlights support from the New BRICS Development Bank

Havana, Nov 4 (RHC) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz highlighted the support of the New BRICS Development Bank to the countries of the South, in a meeting held this Friday in China with the president of that financial entity, Dilma Rousseff.

The head of Government thanked the welcome and congratulated the former Brazilian president for her responsibility at the head of the institution, created in 2015 with the aim of mobilizing resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects.

The exchange took place at the headquarters of the New BRICS Development Bank (a group made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), in the city of Shanghai.  Other members of the delegation accompanying Marrero Cruz also participated.

On this first day of work, the Cuban prime minister arrived in the city of Hangzhou, in Zhejiang, where he met with the secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party, Yi Lianhong, and with businessmen from the China-Latin America Industrial Park platform.

Marrero arrived in Beijing on Thursday and will remain until the 9th, with an agenda that includes exchanges with the main political and government authorities, as well as participation in the 6th China International Import Exhibition, in Shanghai. (Source: ACN)
