Havana, April 6 (RHC) -- Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, visited the main offices of the Granma newspaper on Friday to learn about the renovation process recently carried out there.

During the visit, the president also participated in the inauguration of the Casita Infantil Pequeños Expedicionarios, created at the center to support and facilitate the lives of parents with young children, according to a report on Granma's website.

In an exchange with the workers, Díaz-Canel called on them to "continue creating better working conditions, and that this will result in a better quality of the newspaper. We have to aspire for Granma to be the most widely read newspaper in Cuba as a multimedia, for young people to come closer to Granma, and for that, we have to give it a touch of originality, we have to innovate," he said.

This is the first occasion in which Díaz-Canel, in his capacity as Head of State, visits this newspaper, which between 2023 and the first months of 2024 underwent a constructive work that reconfigured the spaces with a more modern and comfortable approach.

As part of the visit, the President officially inaugurated the Creation and Design Company, a new project that, according to its director, Adonis Subit Lamit, has as its "mission to manage innovative communicational products, with high strategic, tactical and contingent values, aimed at influencing the physical environment, the media and digital networks, as well as contributing to the articulation of a coherent discourse among the various communicational actors in the country".
