Ramallah, July 26 (RHC)-- The Palestinian-Cuban Friendship Association highlighted this Saturday the example that the Caribbean island and its Revolution represent for the peoples of the world and celebrated the Day of National Rebellion in that country.
"On this momentous date in Cuba's history, we address you, brothers and sisters, with a greeting of respect and loyalty," the organization expressed in a message sent to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.
The message recalled that the attacks 72 years ago on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks in eastern Cuba lit the spark of revolution against oppression and paved the way for the dream of national liberation and social justice.
"From Palestine and all the lands that yearn for dignity, we remember their sacrifices and persistence in the face of tyranny," the statement emphasized.
The Association stated that it is inspired by the "firmness and history of the Cuban Revolution" as "a beacon that guides our daily battles for sovereignty and justice."
"Cuba taught us that freedom can be won, and that sincere words and courageous actions can change the course of history."
"From Palestine, where we know well the meaning of resistance, we send you a heartbeat that embodies the sense of combative brotherhood and international solidarity."
