Cuban President Raul Castro Meets with Governor of Buenos Aires

Havana, July 23 (RHC) –- Cuban President Raul Castro held a meeting Wednesday afternoon with Daniel Scioli, Governor of the Argentinean province of Buenos Aires, who is paying an official visit to Cuba.

During the meeting, both dignitaries expressed their satisfaction with the current state of relations between Cuba and Argentina, and discussed the prospects for growth for trade and cooperation in several sectors. Issues of international importance were also addressed by the visitor and his host.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Rafael Folonier, Secretary for International Relations, Carlos Peralta, Sub-secretary for International Economic Relations and Rafael Perelmiter, economic advisor, all official with the Buenos Aires provincial government.

The Cuban representation at the meeting was also made up by Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, and José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, head of the Department of International Relations at the Cuban Communist Party.
