Brussels, November 30 (RHC)-- Cuban Ambassador to Belgium Norma Goicochea said the ongoing negotiations process between Cuba and the European Union towards a cooperation and political dialogue agreement opens a new, more constructive stage in bilateral ties.

Goicochea added that the bilateral talks, the sixth round of which will take place this week in Brussels, signals a decision by the two sides to foment a new kind of relationship, based on mutual respect and cooperation.

The Cuban diplomat noted that Cuba maintains diplomatic relations with each and every member of the European Union, and also maintains mutually beneficial cooperation with most of the bloc's 28 members.
