Havana, May 20 (RHC)-- The 5th part of the “Transformers” saga, directed by film-maker Michael Bay, will include scenes shot in Havana. 

The filming in Cuba will mainly take place on the Havana Malecón, or sea-side drive, and locations in and around Old Havana, as part of a plot unfolding in several cities around the world. 

Havana recently hosted the filming of “Fast and Furious 8,” and Cuban officials say they will be negotiating other movie projects in the future.

Sources with the Cuban Film Industry, ICAIC, said that proceeds from the joint collaboration between foreign motion picture companies and ICAIC will be used in the development of Cuban cinema.
