The United States not only maintains a criminal blockade against Cuba for almost 60 years, but since January 1959 has resorted to all kinds of actions to subvert the constitutional order and overthrow the Revolution.

Since the failed mercenary invasion of Playa Giron (the Bay of Pigs) in April 1961, financed and supported by Washington, sabotage against economic targets, assassination attempts against the leaders of the Revolution, introduction of diseases and plagues, among other criminal actions, have followed one after another.

The various U.S. administrations have sought to discredit Cuba's achievements in various spheres, the worldwide support of the Cuban people and its spirit of solidarity. In this digital era, the attacks have intensified and have sought multiple alternatives to penetrate society, especially among the youngest.

Let's not forget the social network Zunzuneo, aimed at the new generations to create a state of opinion against the Revolution and promote acts against the constitutional order of the Caribbean nation. In that initiative was the hand of the interfering and misnamed U.S. Agency for Development Assistance.

"We are facing an intense, stark and perverse communicational war", denounced the First Secretary and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz Canel, in his closing remarks at the Second Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.

A campaign designed and financed by the U.S. government, and in which the U.S. Embassy in Havana plays an active role, in total violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the Cuban leader pointed out.

An openly provocative and interfering posture that the White House does not try to hide, when it even threatens with new sanctions against the largest of the Antilles, in view of the refusal of the governments of several Cuban municipalities to carry out a supposedly peaceful march that ignores elements established in the Constitution.

But the campaign orchestrated by the northern neighbor has a great rejection at international level. Thus, users from 28 nations participating in the virtual meeting

"Reason is our shield" expressed their condemnation of Washington's escalation of aggressions and recalled that such initiatives have been used in other nations to promote regime change.

More than 130 leftist leaders from 45 countries also rejected the actions against Cuba. The XXV International Seminar 'Parties and a New Society', sponsored by the Mexican Labor Party also demanded an end to the US blockade, which violates the human rights of Cubans.

The participants supported the call of the Latin American and Caribbean Continental Network of Solidarity with Cuba for a new day The world against the blockade, to be held from November 15 to 17.

As has been demonstrated many times, Cuba is not alone in its confrontation with the hostile U.S. policy and in its struggle to continue advancing in the construction of a more just and inclusive society.
