The Cuban comedy Boccaccerías Habaneras that won the Audience’s Award at the 2013 New Latin American Film Festival will be screened on the island’s movie’s theaters as of this weekend as part of summer activities.
Arturo Sotto, known for his films Pon tu pensamiento en mí, Amor vertical and La noche de los inocentes, is based on two stories of the famous Decameron Stories by Giovanni Boccaccio, telling us three contemporary stories in Havana full of sensuality, humor, irreverence and hidden passion. The film’s cast includes Cuban actors Luis Alberto García, Omar Franco, Mario Guerra, Raúl Lora, Yaddier Fernández, Félix Beatón, Zulema Cruz, Yerlín Pérez, Jorge Perugorría, Cuban American Cucú Diamante and the Dance ensemble Habana Compás Dance.
