A new issue, number 61, of Honda magazine was released Thursday by the José Martí Cultural Society, in the framework of activities on a new anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National Hero.

Articles on this latest issue deal with Latin American migration to the United States, José Martí –the editor-, transcendental moments in the life of the Cuban National Hero, Martí’s influence on Fidel Castro and the new generations, and others related to the work of the José Martí Cultural Society.

On the occasion, the deputy director of the Fidel Castro Studies Center Cuban, historian Elier Ramírez, and the president of the José Martí Cultural Society Eduardo Torrez Cueva presented a panel discussion on how both, José Martí and Fidel Castro perceived the United States.

The new issue of Honda magazine and the panel discussion mark the beginning of the twelve-month campaign on the 170th birthday anniversary of José Martí, to be celebrated on January 28th, 2023.

The campaign concludes with the 5th International Conference ‘For World Balance’, organized by the José Martí Cultural Society in coordination with the José Martí Office and the World Council of the José Martí Project for International Solidarity supported by UNESCO.
