University of Havana to hold International Scientific Convention

Havana, May 24 (RHC) --The University of Havana announced Wednesday that it will hold the Saber UH International Scientific Convention from May 29 to June 2, aimed at scientists, academics and students from the country and the world.

The forum, which will be held in the context of the 295th anniversary of that center of higher studies, hosts various events on biotechnology and biomedical sciences, renewable energies, environment and sustainable development.

Also on basic sciences, local development, problems of higher education in the 21st century, public policies, cultural, archival and heritage processes.

In this area, the Faculties of Economics, Accounting and Finance and Tourism, and the Centers for the Study of Management Techniques (Ceted), Cuban Economic Studies (CEEC) and International Economic Research (CIEI) convened the IV International Congress of Economics, Accounting and Administration (ECAD 2023).

The theme of this forum will be Productive transformation, social inclusion and international insertion.

National and foreign professors and researchers, specialists in Economics, Accounting, Tourism and Administration will participate in it, with the aim of socializing the scientific and professional production related to these areas of knowledge.

Likewise, the I Alexis Codina Jiménez Scientific Workshop entitled "Management in the development of economic actors" will be held, which is organized by Ceted.

Its objective is to contribute to the development and dissemination of research results on management and business management.

The Congress will be held on May 30 and 31 at the Tryp Habana Libre Hotel and is organized into five commissions: Political Economy, Economic Policy and Development, Productive Transformation, Competitiveness and Sustainability, and Challenges of Accounting and Financial Sciences in the Current Context of the Economy.

Commission four includes the First Alexis Codina Jiménez Scientific Workshop, and commission five, External economic environment, global chains, trade, finance and international integration.

This event has the collaboration of the Foundation for Innovation and Development of the University of Havana, the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC), the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), the Agricultural Group (GAG) and the Defense Information Technology Company (Xetid).

According to the organizers, this fourth edition is expected to be a great success, since 217 professionals will participate, approximately half of them from the University of Havana, including undergraduate students of the University and foreign speakers from countries such as Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico.
