The ambassador of India to Havana, Chinthapally Rajasekhar, thanked Cuban book authorities to have chosen his country as guest of honor at the International Book Fair, Cuba 2015.

He said that it’s an honor and an opportunity to bring an ample representation of his people’s culture. He noted that the Havana fair will be attended by authors and six artisans from India.

The book fiesta will begin in February, 2015, with the attendance of Cuban and foreign publishers. Some 400 guests from 34 countries participated at this year’s book fair in its usual headquarters of the San Carlos de la Cabaña venue with an avalanche of exhibitors and readers.

The 2015 book fair will also be dedicated to Cuban historian Olga Portuondo and researcher Leonardo Acosta, winners of the National Social Sciences and Literature Awards respectively.
