Havana, December 11 (RHC)-- Sebastian Novoa won Friday the third stage of the Vuelta Ciclística a Ecuador, which brings together 120 riders from 14 teams.

The stage covered 191 kilometers between the cities of Manta, in the province of Manabí, and Quevedo, located in Los Ríos.

Novoa, from Team Best PC, managed to win in a final sprint with a few centimeters of difference with respect to the Canadian Jean Michel Lachance, from the VIE 13 Factory Team, winner of the inaugural stage.

The overall and U-23 classifications are led by Ecuador's Lenín Montenegro, of Movistar, while Novoa retains the flying goals and Stalin Puentestar, of Eagle Bikes, is the best in the mountains.

This Saturday will be the fourth stage with a distance of 102.4 kilometers, which will join Quevedo with Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.

The section will be the last on flat terrain, to give way to the complicated stages of the Sierra.
