Cuba's men's basketball team will host on February 24 and 27 its counterparts from Mexico and Puerto Rico, in that order, in the resumption of the World Basketball Windows of the Americas, a qualifier for the 2023 World Cup, which will be shared by Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia.

Havana, February 23 (RHC)-- Cuba's men's basketball team will host on February 24 and 27 its counterparts from Mexico and Puerto Rico, in that order, in the resumption of the World Basketball Windows of the Americas, a qualifier for the 2023 World Cup, which will be shared by Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia.

Eduardo Moya's disciples, who lost in their first two games against the United States and Puerto Rico, are obliged to get a couple of wins to keep their chances of advancing to the next round, where the top three of the four groups will advance.

In group D, on November 28, the United States team won an agonizing victory over Cuba 90 x95, in a game where the Cubans reached the final quarter with a four-point lead, and Havana's Jasiel Rivero and Karel Guzman were the offensive leaders of the Cuban team.
