Morocco celebrates advancing to the Round of 16

Havana, December 1 (PL) - The national teams of Morocco and Croatia got today their passports to the round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Moroccans beat Canada 2-1, thanks to goals by Hakim Ziyech, in the fourth minute, and En-Nesyri (23), while the Croatians drew 0-0 against Belgium, a result valid for their qualification.

Thus, Morocco secured first place in Group F with seven points, while Croatia took second place with five. Belgium (4), favorites to win the group, fell by the wayside, as did Canada (0).

The qualifiers from this group will meet in the round of 16 with those from key E, in which, according to the experts, Spain and Germany have the best chances of reaching the round of 16.

Spain plays against Japan today and Germany against Costa Rica.
