Camagüey to host INDER anniversary activities in 2023

Havana, December 17 (RHC)-- The Cuban province of Camagüey will host the central activities for the anniversary of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) in 2023 (February 23), which will be dedicated to the centenary of revolutionary José Ramón Fernández Álvarez.

This was recently decided by INDER's board of directors, taking into account the positive results achieved by the territory in the last stage.

José Cedeño Tamayo, general director of Physical Education and Sports for All of INDER, highlighted to JIT the processes in which the sports movement in Agramontino has excelled, among which are the Physical Education class, the attention to students exempted from it and the selection of talents for high performance sports.

He highlighted the progress achieved in the competitive systems in schools, the constitution of some of them as a reference and the expansion of talent classrooms.

Cedeño also referred to other aspects such as the growth of the systematic practitioner of physical activity; the celebration of Cubaila, emblematic races and other massive, gymnastic and sports activities.

He praised the results achieved in the summer, in the attention to the government project of recreation and use of free time; in the rescue of facilities and in the support to the transformation of vulnerable communities.

The INDER board of directors recognized the results achieved by many provinces throughout a difficult period, in which only effort and creativity made it possible to move forward.
