Stephen Keener to visit Cuba

Havana, January 11 (JIT) -- The president of Little League Baseball International, Stephen Keener, is visiting Cuba on Wednesday and Thursday.

As scheduled, the U.S. federator arrives in Havana on Wednesday accompanied by Carlos Pagan, director of his organization for Latin America, and Pete Cacheiro, member of the board of directors.

The agenda includes exchanges with executives of the Cuban Baseball Federation, the Cuban Olympic Committee and Inder. In addition, a game between teams from the Cuban capital is expected to be enjoyed.

Cuba joined since 2019 to the Little League tournament and in this 2023 will access the world series by the established rotation system.

Just one day after Keener's visit, that is, on Friday, January 13, the final playoff of the Havana Little League will begin between the teams Habana del Este and Playa in a best-of-three series.
