Havana, December 21 (JIT) -- The traditional San Silvestre Race will be held once again in Cuba, on December 31, sponsored by the Inder (National Institute of Sports and Recreation) in the capital and the technical support of Marabana-Maracuba.

The 10-kilometer distance event, which will salute the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, will be held in its traditional circuit of the Sports City, which includes the Vía Blanca, Boyeros, Santa Catalina and Primelles arteries.

According to the organizers, the bibs of the Havana Marathon 2023, in possession of the runners, will be used.

On this occasion, runners will run in the opposite direction to traffic and will run five laps around the Sports City.

The start will take place at the parking lot of the sports venue at 7:00 a.m., but participants should report between 6:00 and 6:50 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three runners, in addition to the winners of the associations of people with disabilities and many other special categories.

This will close an intense and successful year for the walking movement on the island.
