Coco Gauff

Paris, Jun 2 (PL) The American tennis player Coco Gauff and the Russian Mirra Andreeva got tickets today to the quarterfinals of the French Roland Garros tournament, the second Grand Slam of the season.

Gauff, second favorite for the title, defeated Russian Yekaterina Aleksandrova 6-0, 7-5, while Andreeva, sixth seed, defeated Australian Daria Kasátkina 6-3, 7-5.

In her next match, the American will face the winner of the match between her compatriots Madison Keys and Hailey Baptiste, while Andreeva will face the winner of the match between the French Lois Boisson and the American Jessica Pegula.

The French Open, of Grand Slam category, is played on the clay courts of the Stade Roland Garros in Paris.
