Race for the beginning of the summer

Havana, Jun 17 (RHC) - A race for the beginning of summer in Cuba will be held on July 5 in all provinces, municipalities, and rural and mountain population centers.

In the capital, the circuit will start at the parking lot of the Ciudad Deportiva Stadium, going through Vía Blanca, Palatino, Santa Catalina, Boyeros, and returning through Vía Blanca to the finish line at the same place where the race started.

There, registration will be open from 7:00 a.m., and the start will be at 8:00 a.m., informed the National Commission of Marabana-Maracuba Races and Walks.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three places of each sex, in addition to the winners of the Ansoc, Aclifim, and Anci associations (Associations that represent people with different types of physical disabilities). Special prizes will also be awarded through a raffle.

Even in the midst of limitations, a plan of activities has been organized throughout the country for this summer period.

Among them is the Summer Beach and Sea Sports Festival and Seminar in the Cuban capital.

It will take place from August 6 to 13, 2025 in the different public places of western Havana, supported by the sports management in the territory, the capital's government and other institutions.

This festival will be an opportunity to promote the call for participation in various sports of this modality, seeking to provide a sporting spectacle in the western area of the Havana coast.
