Havana, January 22 (RHC)-- Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes said that the upcoming 20th Congress of the Confederation of Cuban Workers, the CTC, will focus on the defense of the socialist revolution and describe it as a revolutionary forum of the proletariat in a country that is implementing a process of change and transformations.

Valdes, who was a confederation leader during 25 years, said that the forum will hold debates that will lead to accords in the benefit of the nation. He noted that the economic, social and political agenda of the country was defined by the 6th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party and it is the duty of the Workers’ Confederation to support and materialize it.

The 20th Congress of Cuban workers will take place February 20th to the 22nd in Havana with the attendance of over 1200 delegates and 200 guests, according to Prensa Latina news agency.
