Havana, Oct 28 (RHC) Delegates participating in the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (EIPCO) paid tribute this Friday in Havana to Rebel Army Commander Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán, on the 63rd anniversary of his physical disappearance.

With the traditional floral offering in the rivers and seas of Cuba, the participants in the event learned about the history of the Hero of Yaguajay, his early incorporation into the fight for the independence of the nation and his loyalty to the Revolution, and the historic leader, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016).

Tania Alejandra Caputo, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Argentina (PCA) expressed in exclusive statements to the Cuban News Agency that, 63 years after the departure of the Señor de la Vanguardia, the political organization she represents reaffirms its revolutionary commitment to building a continent that guides the struggle of the people.

She said that this is the first time that she participates in a ceremony to honor Cienfuegos Gorriarán since in other opportunities she expressed her tribute to Fidel and Che Guevara.

About her presence at the EIPCO, she emphasized that she brings a message of hope for humanity in a world where women and men of the working class are violated.

"The event will also allow us to show the experiences of the struggle of each of the countries participating in it," acknowledged the delegate for the South American nation.

Caputo highlighted the rejection of the Communist Party of Argentina of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, a policy that conditions the possibility of development of the population.

She stated that this Antillean nation demonstrates that it is possible to confront an empire with creativity, solidarity, and love for just causes.

The XXII International Meeting of Communist and Workers Parties will be held until tomorrow, Saturday, in the Cuban capital.

Delegates have visited sites such as the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and neighborhoods in transformation. (Source: ACN)
