Havana, April 24 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez evoked the thoughts of José Martí, 'Patria es Humanidad' (Homeland is Humanity), to highlight the efforts of doctors and nurses in the fight against COVID-19 in Cuba and other countries.

"Under that maxim of Jose Marti, our health professionals defend medical care, the well-being of the peoples and life from different corners of the world," the Cuban foreign minister published on his Twitter social network account.

Also this Friday, in a previous tweet, Bruno Rodriguez pointed out that humanity demands an effective solution to the COVID-19, a pandemic that affects a large part of the world.   He stressed that this is a crisis of multiple and devastating effects not only in the field of health, but also in the economy, international trade and society.

The top Cuban diplomat called for joining international efforts in the fight against the pandemic and stressed that "Together we can do it."
