Havana, August 18 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has accused the United States of sabotaging the Proclamation as a Zone of Peace assumed by all Latin American and Caribbean countries in 2014.

On his Twitter account, the top Cuban diplomat recalled the document assumed by the continent in January of that year, during the II Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), held in the Cuban capital.

"In 2014, all Latin American and Caribbean countries signed our Proclamation as a Zone of Peace," wrote Bruno Rodriguez.  "The regional policy of the #USA government has sabotaged this genuine aspiration of our peoples," the Cuban foreign minister affirmed.

Cuba believes that the United States is undermining the commitment to peace in the region with its hostile and interfering actions affecting Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Venezuela.
