Havana, Feb 1 (RHC) The Director of UNESCO's Regional Bureau for Culture for Latin America and the Caribbean, Katherine Müller, expressed her condolences for the massive traffic accident that occurred last Saturday in the province of Mayabeque, in western Cuba, which caused the death of ten people.

In a message to the Cuban Minister of Education, Müller offered her condolences to the deceased's families and friends.

"We deeply regret this event not only for the pain it leaves in the family of the fatal victims but also for the loss of young teachers," the directive expressed.

The accident occurred at kilometer 42 of the national highway, belonging to the municipality of Güines, in the province of Mayabeque, when the bus fell off the bridge where it was traveling.
