Havana, August  29 (RHC)-- Thanks to Cubans and friends of our country around the world who once again demanded the lifting of the unjust blockade against Cuba, said President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel on Monday.

The dignitary highlighted on Twitter the work of the Bridges of Love project, which on Sunday led another day demanding the lifting of the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade that the U.S. government has maintained for 60 years against the Caribbean nation.

"I embrace all those who continue to bet on building Bridges of Love. In this struggle, in which we are right, we will also win," added the President.

Cubans living abroad and solidarity associations marched through the streets of countries such as the United States, Canada, Jamaica, Bahamas, and Bolivia to protest this genocidal policy, the Foreign Ministry stated on Twitter.

"Feelings of fraternity and solidarity guide the efforts of compatriots and friends around the world in the relentless struggle against the inhumane blockade and in the building of Bridges of Love with the Cuban people," said Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla on the same social network.
