Havana, Sep 20 (RHC) The Cuban embassy in Mexico reported that no Cubans, either stationed or resident in that country, were affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that shook Michoacán and Mexico City on Monday.

A note from the diplomatic representation in the Mexican capital adds that neither that facility nor its consulates in several states of the nation registered any misfortunes.

It also pointed out that all the personnel of the mission in the interior and in Mexico City are at the service of their compatriots, for which they made available telephones and other communication channels.

A message of solidarity sent by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel to the people and government of Mexico in response to the earthquake was released in the northern sister nation, in which he also conveyed his condolences to the families of the only deceased reported so far. (Source: PL)
