As he left on his trip, Díaz-Canel announced that during these days they will work intensively to strengthen economic and political ties that will allow them to continue promoting Cuba's development.

The Cuban president arrived in Turkey from Russia, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other high-ranking officials, with whom he analyzed the cooperation plan until 2030 as well as other aspects of bilateral relations.

Previously, he was in Algeria, an Arab nation where he spoke with President Abdelmajid Tebboune about alliances related to fuel supply, the interest in collaborating in the development of medicines and vaccines, and the holding of a session of the Joint Commission in Havana, in 2023.

Deputy Prime Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas and Alejandro Gil; Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez; Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca; and Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O are part of the Cuban delegation.
