Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel began an international tour of countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe

Havana, Nov 16 (RHC) On Wednesday, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel began an international tour of countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Through his Twitter account, the president confirmed the visit to Algeria, Turkey, Russia, and China in response to official invitations from leaders of those nations.

He added in his message that during the meetings he will discuss essential issues for the Caribbean island, mainly related to the energy sector.

Díaz-Canel specified that the program designed responds to Cuba's political and economic priorities, as well as to the efforts to alleviate the effects of a post-pandemic crisis that is affecting the whole world, which is worse for Havana due to the effects of the U.S. blockade.

The president stressed that during these days they will work intensively to strengthen economic and political ties that will allow them to continue promoting Cuba's development.

The Cuban delegation is also made up of Deputy Prime Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas and Alejandro Gil; Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez; the Ministers of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca; of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O; and of Public Health, José Ángel Portal Miranda.
