International Conference for the Balance of the World

Havana, Jan 28 (RHC) The 5th International Conference for the Balance of the World ends today in Havana with the certainty among participants that the principles set forth by José Martí remain valid in the face of the challenges faced by humanity in the 21st century.

 

On the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National Hero, the event is expected to make visible different aspects of his life and work, in addition to discussing the validity of his ideology in current issues related to propaganda techniques, disinformation and reception trends in social networks.

 

The forum will have among its speakers David Choquehuanca, Vice President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, with the presentation Retorno al Camino del Equilibrio, and Adán Chávez Frías, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Cuba, who will speak on the imprint of Bolívar and Martí's ideology in Fidel and Chávez.

On the other hand, Manuel Jabonero, Secretary General of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) for Education, Science and Culture, will give a lecture on the Ibero-American University 2030, a strategy promoted by this organization in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

 

In the afternoon, the closing ceremony of the event will take place, which has brought together around 1,100 participants from almost 90 countries from all continents.

 

The meeting is convened by the José Martí Project of International Solidarity, with the support of numerous Cuban and global institutions such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). (Source: ACN)
