Cuban president fully informed about the accident at Thermoelectric Power Plant in Matanzas

Havana, April 7 (RHC)-- The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel has been fully informed of the accident that occurred on Friday afternoon at the 'Antonio Guiteras' Thermoelectric Power Plant in the western province of Matanzas.

On his Twitter account, the Cuban president said that he is also in constant communication with the authorities of Matanzas.

Three patients injured in the accident are being treated at the Faustino Pérez Provincial Hospital in the capital city.  All three are in stable condition and without danger to their lives.

The injured workers were in the area known as the ashtray, where they were extracting soot and doing other cleaning work. They belong to Empresa Especializada en Reparación y Mantenimiento a Chimeneas y trabajos en altura, of the Ministry of Construction,
