Cuban Foreign Trade Minister in China

Beijing, September 6, (RHC), -- Cuban Foreign Trade and Investment Minister, Rodrigo Malmierca, arrived Friday in China, to attend the International Fair of Xiamen and meet with top government officials and entrepreneurs.

The Chinese International Fair for Investment and Trade is the main event of its kind in the Asian country, and takes place every September in Xiamen, southern China, to promote national, regional and international business and attract investment.

During his stay in Xiamen, Malmierca will meet Chinese Trade Minister, Gao Hucheng, while also offering a seminar on the Cuban Foreign Investment Law and the Special Development Zone in the port of Mariel.

According to the program, the visiting minister will hold meetings in Beijing with representatives of major business groups, before concluding his visit to China next Wednesday.

Malmierca arrived in China from Vietnam, where he held a similar conference and met with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
