Cuban Aviation consolidates ties at the Russian Tourism Fair

 

Havana, March 20 (RHC) The Cuban Aviation Corporation S.A. (CACSA) present at the Russian Tourism Fair today consolidates ties with its counterparts to promote the arrival of travelers to Cuba.

CACSA Commercial Director, Joanka Acosta, explained to the Cuban press that this is the first edition of Russia’s International Tourism and Hospitality Exhibition (MITT) where the Cuban corporation participates.

Acosta added that CACSA participates in the thirtieth session of the MITT together with the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba to adopt actions in order to attract, not only tour operators, but also the airlines present in the event and show them the benefits and potential of the Cuba destination.

In this sense, she commented that prior to the event, they exchanged criteria with their counterparts from the Russian airlines Aeroflot, Rossiya and Nordwing, with whom they analyzed the feasibility of the flights and the possible increase in frequencies to destinations such as the Cuban provinces of Villa Clara, in the center, and Holguín, in the east.

The Commercial Director stated that CACSA interacted at the Fair with commercial representations of airline entities from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Egypt, which expressed interest in starting to operate flights to Cuba.

Likewise, it exchanged with Turkish Airlines, which has four frequencies to Havana weekly, and is committed this year to adding a fifth, which is also an important bridge for connections to Russia.

The counterparts learned about the incentives that CACSA provides during the first year for the marketing of the different entry points of the largest of the Antilles, which lead to the tourist centers.

According to Acosta, the Cuban entity works in a targeted manner with the Russian market given the extensive flights to which passengers are exposed, the guarantee of fuel service, among other aspects.

The thirtieth edition of the Russian International Tourism and Hospitality Exhibition will run until March 21, to ensure through unique business programs that the more than 700 companies present provide their best products to the Russian market. (Source: PL)
