Havana, July 22 (RHC)-- Members of the Jose Marti Brigade, made up of activists from European countries, have demanded that Washington lift the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba. They pointed out that despite the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the blockade remains in place.

The 45th contingent of the Jose Marti Brigade approved a Final Declaration at the closing activity of their visit, calling U.S. policies "outdated and failed," and demanding an end to the so-called European 'Common Position.' The brigade members also called for the return of Guantanamo Bay to its rightful owners: the Cuban people.

During their stay in Cuba, the brigadistas participated in voluntary work, toured places of socio-economic interest and held meetings with members of political and mass organizations.
