More Than 100 Missing After Migrant Boat Sinks in Mediterranean off Coast of Libya

Tripoli, October 7 (RHC)-- More than 100 people are missing after a boat carrying migrants from Syria and sub-Saharan Africa sank in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Libya. Dozens of other migrants were rescued.

A report last month found more than 3,000 migrants have died crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Europe this year, more than twice the previous high from 2011.
