SANA'A, April 19 (Saba)- A delegation from the Yemeni Confederation of Labor Unions (YCLU) will participate in the May Day activities in Cuba and will seek meetings to the strengthening of bilateral links, the official SABA news agency reported.
According to the official report, YCLU President Alí Ahmed Bakhadar and Vice President Gamal al-Sanabani visited Cuban Ambassador to Yemen, David Paulovich, to coordinate the union delegates' visit.
Since assuming his post, Paulovich has established contact with Yemeni parliamentary and political leaders the report concludes.
The long fraternal relation between the YCLU and the Workers' Union of Cuba is seen as having been hindered by Yemeni’s internal conflicts.
Given the imptoved situation, both organizations have expressed their willingness to move towards expanded bilateral cooperation.
