Council of Ministers visits Cienfuegos province

Havana, February 13 (RHC)-- The second working visit of the Council of Ministers to the southern province of Cienfuegos began Thursday. President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez heads the delegation.

A little over a year ago, the Pearl of the South received the members of the Council of Ministers. On that occasion, economic and social objectives were visited, there were exchanges with the people.

The purpose of the visit is to take a first-hand look at the crucial issues that concern the territory and to follow up on the fulfillment of the recommendations left on the previous visit.

Of the 15 indications of the previous visit, 5 have been fulfilled and 10 are in process.

Likewise, the aim is of the visit is to socialize experiences, to know how problems can be solved, and to hear people’s feedback.

Cienfuegos is one of the provinces that fulfilled the Housing Program in the first year of the policy, one of the government’s priorities.

This is the fourth government visit this year. It was preceded by those to  Las Tunas, Sancti Spíritus, and Artemisa provinces.
