The Middle East is still in flames, and the world is on the brink of the abyss because the central problem remains intact.

Media outlets, particularly those owned by major international conglomerates, echoed the message of U.S. President Donald Trump, who announced the end of military actions between Iran and Israel with great fanfare.
As of this writing, neither Israel nor Iran has confirmed or rejected this claim.
While the cessation of hostilities would be positive news, it is not time to celebrate. The Middle East is still in flames, and the world is on the brink of the abyss because the central problem remains intact.
I am referring to the Zionist regime and its nefarious desire for expansion and domination, as well as Washington's unrestricted support. I reiterate that this does not represent a partisan or government policy but rather a state practice driven by the powerful elites that truly rule that country.
Beyond what happens between Tel Aviv and Tehran, the problems of the region remain, including the genocide of the Palestinian people.
More than 55,000 victims, over half of whom were women and children, and nearly all of whom were innocent civilians, cry out for justice in a world where many powers are deaf, blind, and mute, and which keeps international organizations in that state. These organizations have once again proven their ineffectiveness.
The Gaza Strip has been reduced to rubble, hiding the remains of thousands of people who are still unaccounted for. This cruel and barbaric act by Israel should result in its expulsion from the community of civilized nations and its reduction to the status of a pariah.
However, none of that has happened. Benjamin Netanyahu's army still occupies much of the Strip with no intention of leaving, while "civilized" Europe looks the other way and Donald Trump applauds.
Along with Gaza's infrastructure, the international treaties that once envisioned a solution based on two sovereign states—Israel and Palestine—living in peace within the borders recognized until 1967 were also destroyed.
Does anyone remember that? Neither the UN nor its main body, the Security Council, has any memory of it. As long as this remains the case, the Middle East will continue to burn, and this fire will spread to other places—to the shame of the species that believes itself superior on this planet.
