Cuban artists are participating in the 2020 Latin Alternative Music Conference, which is being held entirely online this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Singer Erik Alejandro Iglesias –better known as Cimafunk- and the band Sweet Lizzy Project, exponents of alternative and fusion music here in Cuba are participating as guests in the event, which runs through June 13th.

As many other events, the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) has been affected by the COVID-19 global standstill. The organizers then decided to produce the LAMC2020 fully online this year.

Also, in the wake of the financial challenges facing the music industry during this crisis, conference organizers have chosen to make the event entirely free this year.

The program includes digital speaking panels and interactive workshops, virtual showcases and performances by Latin music artists and networking opportunities.

This year’s edition includes also the first Wonder Women of Latin Music awards, presented by Amazon Music, celebrating women making a difference in the industry. The initiative, integrated into this year’s conference, includes also a special panel discussion.
